Galeandra is a genus of sympodial orchids in the family Orchidaceae, comprising about 20 species. It is native to tropical America, with three species found in Panama. Galeandra is abbreviated as Gal. in horticultural trade, and is also known as Hooded orchid.

The species produce racemes of showy bell-shaped flowers. The plant prefers moderately bright light, cool to intermediate temperatures, good humidity and air movement. It grows well in plastic pots with moss or a seedling bark (Paph) mix.

Galeandra baueri is an orchid plant native to Panama. It has elongated pseudobulbs, and produces striking orchid with prominent tubular purple lip. It prefers intermediate, with moderately bright light.
